This dish is used to fill chiles like poblano, jalapeno or pasilla, and can be used as well to fill Enchiladas or Empanadas.
Ingredients:
Optional: powder cinnamon.
In a pot with water, put the meat with a piece of onion, 1 garlic and little salt, cook it for 20 minutes. When ready, place the meat in a sift to drain, and remove the onion and garlic.
In a pan saute the onion, and add the tomato puree, fry well. Add the meat, the fruit, the acitron, raisins and almonds, salt and pepper, stir to have everything well mixed. Cook with medium heat for 10 min.
Notes:
Some people like the taste of the cinnamon with fruit and tomato, so add a
little together with the salt and pepper.
